Support the Stories Namibia Cannot Afford to Lose
Across Namibia, important conservation work is happening far from the spotlight. These film projects are designed to make field research, wildlife protection, human-wildlife coexistence, rural conservation and environmental education visible, fundable and remembered.
View Film Projects Watch Proof of Work Support a FilmFund a film that can move conservation forward.
Many conservation organisations, conservancies, researchers and rural projects do vital work, but do not have the media budget to document their impact professionally.
Without powerful visual storytelling, their work often remains invisible to donors, partners, tourists and the wider public. CFF helps close that gap by producing cinematic, ethical and field-based films that turn important conservation work into public understanding and long-term value.
Why this page exists
This is a curated funding gateway for donors, sponsors, companies and private supporters who want to help important Namibian conservation stories become visible.
For donors
Support a tangible film project that can help conservation work raise further funding, educate the public and reach international audiences.
For companies
Align your brand with conservation, responsible tourism, rural communities, wildlife protection and public environmental awareness.
For supporters
Help with fuel, logistics, editing, vehicle support, accommodation, field access or direct film production funding.
Every fundable film fits into one of four clear production levels.
To keep CFF transparent and consistent, the same starting points are used whether a project is funded by a donor or commissioned by a conservation partner.

Recommended level: Impact Film or Conservation Story Film N$25,000 – N$95,000Why this story matters
Communities living with elephants and lions often need practical, simple and locally relevant information. Training videos can help explain safety, livestock protection, water-point behaviour, crop protection, early warning, reporting systems and respectful coexistence.
These videos can be used by conservancies, schools, NGOs, traditional authorities, field trainers and rural development partners as repeatable education tools.
Film format
A focused Impact Film can cover one practical training theme. A larger Conservation Story Film package can include several modules, subtitles, mobile versions and community screening use.

Recommended level: Conservation Story Film or Campaign Package N$55,000 – N$250,000+Why this story matters
Wildlife corridors are essential to the future of Namibia’s free-ranging species. But corridors are not just lines on a map. They are living landscapes shaped by communities, livestock movement, tourism, climate pressure and conservation decisions.
This film will explain why connectivity matters, and how communities, researchers and conservation partners can protect space for wildlife movement.

Conservancies | Community rangers | Field monitoring | Local conservation systems
Recommended level: Impact Film or Conservation Story Film N$25,000 – N$95,000Why this story matters
Community rangers often work quietly in difficult terrain, monitoring wildlife, reporting incidents, supporting local conservation systems and helping protect the value of wildlife for rural communities.
This film will help make their work visible and give funders a stronger understanding of why field presence matters.

Proof that conservation stories can be made visible.
Before someone funds a film, they need to feel the value of visual storytelling. These selected films show the kind of work CFF can support, wildlife conservation, research communication and environmental education.
Wildlife Conservation
Wildlife conservation films bring viewers closer to the animals, landscapes and field teams working to protect Namibia’s natural heritage.
Support a wildlife conservation filmConservation Research
Conservation research often happens quietly, in remote landscapes. CFF translates this work into visual stories that make science accessible and fundable.
View research-related projectsEnvironmental Education
Environmental education films help schools, communities, conservancies and public audiences understand living systems around them.
Fund environmental education filmsWhy this matters to funders
A conservation film is not simply a finished video. It becomes a public record of field work, a donor communication tool, a teaching resource, a community awareness asset and a way to keep conservation knowledge alive beyond the moment of filming.
This library gives donors, sponsors and partners a sense of the value their support can create.
Not every supporter needs to fund the full film.
Small and practical contributions can still move a film forward. These options support the production process, while the full film itself remains aligned with the four production levels above.

N$1,500+
Supports basic field costs such as batteries, data, meals, local assistance, storage or small logistics.
Fuel Contributor
N$5,000+
Helps get the crew into remote conservation landscapes where these stories are actually unfolding.
Field Logistics Partner
N$10,000+
Supports fuel, accommodation, community liaison, guide support, permits or remote access costs.
Production Contributor
N$25,000+
Supports filming days, crew time, field production, interviews and core documentary development.
Co-Funder
N$50,000+
Funds a major part of a film and receives stronger recognition across the film, website and campaign materials.
Film Sponsor
N$55,000+
Funds a complete fundable CFF film at the appropriate production level, from Conservation Story Film upward.
Other ways to support a film.
Not all support needs to be cash. Practical support can make field production possible, especially in remote conservation landscapes.
How funding is used.
Funding is used directly for research, story development, travel, fuel, field production, crew costs, community liaison, editing, colour grading, sound design, music, subtitles, social media versions and distribution.
CFF does not interfere with wildlife, stage conservation scenes or expose sensitive locations where this could create risk for wildlife, researchers, rangers or communities.
The real value
A good conservation film is not only a video. It is a tool that helps a project raise money, build trust, educate people, attract partners and stay remembered.
